Mahalo for Joining Us! -- Sip. Learn. Support.
By Marc Nakamoto (Event Chair)
On Saturday, October 17th, 2020, the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce's (HJCC) Ways and Means Chopsticks & Wine committee presented “Sip. Learn. Support -- a Zoom Winemakers event”, part of our miniseries. The event was in conjunction with our partner HJCC member company Fujioka’s Wine Times and the esteem wine makers of the Trinchero Family Estates. The event was moderated by Scott Stubbs (Division Vice President, Heritage Collection) and featured 7 wines and 4 wine makers sharing their story. We had a total of 77 attendees and with the support of our member business we were able to hold a lucky draw. Special thanks to Kyo-ya Management Company, Flora-Dec Sales, Inc, Minamoto Kitchoan and Mark Milton for their contributions.
We featured Avissi Prosecco NV, Mason Cellars Sauvignon Blanc. 2018, Neyers Carneros Chardonnay 2016 and Neyers Left Bank Red 2017, Belier Sabine Rose 2019, Iron + Sand Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, and Bravium Pinot Noir 2017. We received many compliments and were very happy we were able to raise much needed funds and support of our member companies. Please look out for more events from our Ways and Means committee.
